Ocean freight can be complex, and we understand your concerns about unexpected costs or customs hold-ups. At Allwin, we leverage our extensive China-Australia route experience to help manage the details — working tirelessly at every operational level to minimize risks for you.
Sea freight involves many moving parts. We know you worry about costs spiralling or cargo getting held up at customs. That's why we bring our years of China-Australia route knowledge to bear on every single shipment — checking documents before departure, quoting clearly, and following up until your goods land safely.
Familiar with clearance processes, we help review your documentation before departure — striving to reduce unnecessary inspection risks and border delays before your cargo ever leaves China.
We aim to provide clear, itemised quoting so you understand potential costs upfront — including port charges, customs duties, and delivery fees — and avoid unwelcome surprises at the destination.
Whether FCL (full container) or LCL (shared container), we coordinate suitable vessel schedules based on your actual cargo volume and timeline — so the solution always fits your business.
"No ocean shipment is too small for our attention. Our team will carefully follow up on your containers every step of the way, doing everything we can to support a smooth arrival."— Leon, Allwin Logistics
We service all major Chinese ports and deliver nationwide across Australia.
Best when you have enough cargo to fill a container. More cost-effective per unit, faster transit, and your goods aren't consolidated with others. Ideal for regular importers shipping 10+ CBM.
Best for smaller shipments where you only pay for the space you use. Perfect for growing brands that aren't yet filling full containers, or for testing a new product range.
Not sure which is right for you? Ask us — we'll advise honestly.

Everything you need to know about shipping by sea from China to Australia.
Sea transit typically takes 12–18 days depending on origin and destination ports. Combined with factory pickup, export clearance, and Australian port processing, door-to-door is usually 20–30 days. We'll give you a realistic estimate based on your specific route.
FCL means you book the whole container — best if you're shipping 10+ CBM regularly. LCL means sharing space with other shippers — better for smaller or less frequent shipments. We'll help you work out which makes financial sense for your volume.
The Customs handles import clearance, while the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) oversees biosecurity. Goods with wood packaging often require fumigation certificates. We help prepare your documentation before departure from China — reducing the risk of holds at the Australian border.
Beyond the ocean freight rate, typical costs include: origin THC, export documentation, destination THC, customs brokerage, import duties, GST (10%), and last-mile delivery. We provide detailed, itemised quotes upfront so you can budget with confidence — no hidden fees.
FOB (Free On Board) means your supplier is responsible for getting cargo to the origin port — you take over from there. EXW (Ex Works) means you're responsible from the factory gate. For most importers, FOB is simpler and more widely used. We'll advise on the best choice for your situation.
